Nashville at a glance for advertisers
Nashville is the capital of Tennessee and one of five markets where CETV Now is live, alongside Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta and Salt Lake City. Miami is coming soon and is not live yet. If you are weighing Nashville digital out-of-home advertising, that live status is the starting point; the availability panel on this page shows it.
CETV Now is a self-install, plug-in network. A small media-player device connects to a screen a venue already owns and runs licensed programming with video ads over live TV. For you as an advertiser, that means your message appears on ordinary venue TVs where people are already waiting, watching and deciding. For the full model, see how it works and the network overview.
A city-county and a music-industry center
Two facts about Nashville shape how you plan. First, it is a major center of the music industry, especially country music, and is commonly called Music City. Second, since 1963 it has had a consolidated city-county government with Davidson County.
The music identity gives you a planning lens: many local businesses build offers around shows, music nights, tour dates and the people who come to town for them. The consolidated government gives you a vocabulary point: "Nashville" and "Davidson County" are tied together in government terms, so neither label tells your customers where to find you.
How to describe your trade area
A trade area is the set of places your customers come from or pass through. Do not stop at "Nashville." CETV Now targeting works at several levels: neighborhood, city, metro, zip code, sector or vertical, and individual venue. It can also be layered with audience type and daypart, meaning time of day.
- Single-location business: list the neighborhoods and zip codes your customers actually live or work in, then ask which venue categories reach them.
- Multi-location business: write a trade area per location, not one for the whole market. Franchise brands can have each location target its own nearby venues while following national brand standards.
- Citywide or metro offer: say so explicitly, and be ready to explain why a broad footprint fits the offer.
- Event-specific offer: name the area around the event or the places attendees are likely to spend time before and after.
For more on sizing a footprint, read local vs regional vs national DOOH planning and the local DOOH advertising solution page.
Venue-driven and event-driven offers
A venue-driven offer is tied to where the viewer is: a dining special shown in a restaurant, a service reminder in a waiting area. An event-driven offer is tied to when: a show weekend, a release, a seasonal moment. In a music-oriented market, the two often combine.
Treat these as planning examples, not confirmed Nashville inventory. Which categories are available, and where, is something to confirm in your quote.
| Offer idea | Venue category to discuss | Timing lens |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-show or post-show dining special | Restaurants and bars | Evenings and weekends, using daypart targeting |
| Live music night or tasting event at your own business | Restaurants and bars, retail | Run ahead of the event date |
| Merchandise or gift promotion tied to a local event | Retail | Lead-up to the event |
| Seasonal service or maintenance reminder | Auto dealerships, salons, professional services | Matched to the season |
| Wellness or class promotion for people visiting the area | Fitness and wellness facilities | Weekday mornings or evenings, depending on the audience |
CETV Now reports average dwell time of 15+ minutes across its network. That is CETV Now network data, not third-party audited, and dwell time measures how long people spend in a venue, not how closely they watch. Use it as a reason a longer message can fit, not as a promise of attention. See dwell time for the distinction.
Match venue categories to your trade area
CETV Now runs in high-dwell commercial venue categories: auto dealerships, restaurants and bars, medical and dental offices, fitness and wellness facilities, retail, and professional services such as offices and salons. Named venue partners are not published, so you plan by category and area rather than by venue name.
- 01
Start with the customer's day
Where does your ideal customer spend idle time before they buy from you? A dental patient in a waiting room and a diner at a bar are in different frames of mind.
- 02
Pick two or three categories
A narrow starting set is easier to read afterward than a broad one. The guide to choosing venue categories walks through the trade-offs.
- 03
Pair them with neighborhoods or zip codes
Use the trade area you wrote earlier. If your event draws people from across the metro, say that in your request.
- 04
Add a daypart if timing matters
An evening dining offer and a weekday service reminder should not necessarily run at the same hours.
Because ad insertion has no minimums and no long-term commitment, you can set your own spend and schedule and adjust at your own pace. Details are on the ad insertion page.
Creative and timing considerations
CETV Now supports full-screen video, static creative, multi-spot branded campaigns and local offers. Full-screen video runs as an unskippable takeover of the venue's live TV. Creative can be a 30-second video, static designs, or animated motion graphics shown as overlays on live TV. Compare options on the ad formats page.
- Lead with the offer and the date. An event promotion that does not show when and where is easy to forget.
- Keep it readable from across a room. Venue screens are often watched from a distance, sometimes with the sound low. The video ad design guide covers this.
- Plan a start and end date. For event-driven offers, decide when the message should stop so it does not outlive the event.
- Build in review time. Creative is submitted for review before it runs, and CETV Now has not published how long review and launch take, so ask about your specific date.
If your event dates cluster around holidays, the holiday advertising calendar can help you line up offers with the seasons.
How to request a Nashville quote
Pricing is quote-based and depends on market, venue category and schedule. There is no published rate card, so this page does not state prices. To start, share your market, venue categories, creative and budget. CETV Now then maps the plan to real-world audiences, provides a quote, and gets the campaign live.
Before you reach out, have these ready:
- The neighborhoods, zip codes or venue categories that match your trade area
- The offer, any event dates, and when the message should stop
- Draft creative or a description of what you plan to make
- A budget and schedule you are comfortable with, knowing you can scale
- Your goal, such as event awareness or foot traffic, so reporting can be read against it
